Why it matters
The Filtrete MPR 1500 (MERV 12) Air Filter is a pleated furnace and air conditioner filter rated MERV 12 (MPR 1500 on the 3M scale). Its size table lists 24 sizes in 1-inch depths, each linked to its own listing.
Sizes by depth: 1-inch: 24 sizes (from 12x12x1 to 24x30x1).
MERV 12 catches a larger share of fine particles than MERV 11, which suits allergy households whose system handles a denser filter.

As general guidance, check a 1-inch filter monthly and change it every one to three months; deeper 4- and 5-inch filters usually last six to twelve months.
